As part of showcasing what's possible with a fully bespoke Shopify build, we created Tulkrom Customs – a fictional but fully functional online store for a custom motorcycle brand. This project demonstrates the entire e-commerce journey, from branding and content to UX, development, and marketing strategy.
Whether you're a small business launching a new product line or an established brand looking to modernise your store, this walkthrough gives insight into what's achievable with the right Shopify setup.
1. Shopify Theme Development
Started with Shopify’s Dawn theme
Customised using Liquid, JSON templates, and CSS
Created unique page layouts for Garage, Story, Testimonials, and Journal
2. Brand Creation & Visual Identity
Developed brand name, concept, and tone
Custom logo, favicon, and icon set
Colour palette: Gold (#c5a562) and charcoal black
Web-safe type pairings for headings and body copy
3. Custom Metaobjects as a CMS
Built a testimonial system using Shopify metaobjects
Each testimonial includes name, quote, image, location, and rider type
All editable from the Shopify admin without code
4. Product Strategy & Merch Setup
Created a fictional but realistic product range
Workshop merch (hoodies, caps, stickers) + custom motorcycle parts
Variants, filtering, collection pages, and SEO-friendly descriptions

5. Visual Content & Imagery
AI-generated photography and product visuals
Hero shots for each page and lifestyle imagery for story building
All images styled to match the brand aesthetic
6. Custom Testimonials Page
Testimonials rendered dynamically from metaobjects
2-column layout, responsive and clean
Editable headings and section colours in theme editor
7. Location & Contact Features
Contact form with optional message area
Floating “Book a Build Consult” CTA button
8. SEO & Content Strategy
SEO-optimised meta titles and descriptions
Blog posts with internal linking and structured HTML
Newsletter blurbs written to match brand voice
The Goal
Tulkrom Customs wasn’t just about making something look nice, it was about showing what’s possible when e-commerce design, user experience, and brand storytelling come together in a Shopify store. The result is a working demo any business owner can relate to - and a showcase of what we bring to e-commerce projects.
P.S If it doesn’t all make sense right away, that’s totally fine - we’re here to guide you through it, step by step.
